15/09/2025 (Monday)

Today was my 30th day of teaching practice. I reached school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. My class was in the third period, where I taught the new concept of Division from the chapter Irrational Numbers. Since it was a new topic, students listened carefully, though some found it a bit difficult at first. Later, they understood with my guidance. In the afternoon, I had lunch duty and later participated in a school-based activity on “Gender Difference in Political Situation” under EDU 12. It was a good day overall.

16/09/2025 (Tuesday)

I reached school at 9:00 a.m. and completed morning discipline duties. My class was in the fourth period from 12:05 to 12:45 p.m. I revised the problems from the previous lesson on Division. Students actively participated and cleared their doubts. After lunch, I helped monitor the art competitions held in connection with the school Kalolsavam. It was a busy and eventful day.

17/09/2025 (Wednesday)

Today was my 32nd day of teaching practice. After morning duties, I helped in continuing the remaining Kalolsavam programs. Later, I had a substitution period in Class 7 and taught the topic Area of Triangle from the lesson Multiplication. It was a slightly emotional day since some trainees from another college completed their practice and left.

8/9/2025 (Monday)

After the Onam holidays, the school reopened today. I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the register. I helped with the morning duties and attended the prayer. During the third period, I distributed and evaluated the students’ Onam exam papers. I gave feedback and advice to the students. In the afternoon, I had lunch duty and left the school by 4:15 p.m.

9/9/2025 (Tuesday)

I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and completed the morning duties. I had the fourth period in class 9. I started teaching a new chapter, “Irrational Multiplication”, and introduced the topic using simple examples. The students were interested and participated well in the discussion. After lunch duty, I signed out at 4:15 p.m.

10/9/2025 (Wednesday)

I arrived at school by 9:00 a.m. and did my morning duties. The Kalolsavam-related programs were held today, so I helped in arranging and guiding the students. In the seventh period, I took an ICT-based class on the topic Multiplication Concept from Irrational Multiplication. The students enjoyed the visuals and understood the lesson well. I left school at 4:15 p.m.

11/9/2025 (Thursday)

I reached school at 9:00 a.m. and did the morning duties. I continued with the lesson on Irrational Multiplication by giving practice problems to the students. The students were active and performed well in solving them. After my noon duty, I helped the teachers with some school arrangements. I signed out at 4:15 p.m.

12/9/2025 (Friday)

As usual, I reached school at 9:00 a.m. and did my morning discipline duty. I revised the previous topics and clarified the students’ doubts. It was a smooth class, and students interacted freely. After finishing the afternoon duties, I signed out from school at 4:15 p.m.

Special Assembly Honouring State-Level Quiz Winner

Today marked the 29th day of my teaching practice. The day was truly special as a special assembly was organized to honour Aaron, a student from Class 9H, who secured first place in the Manorama Quiz Competition at the state level. Representatives from the Manorama office visited the school to present a bullet bike as the prize, making the occasion even more memorable.

Aaron’s parents were also present to share this proud moment and receive the award along with him. We, the teacher trainees, actively helped in arranging the students and coordinating the assembly, which continued throughout the first hour of the morning. The event was filled with pride and celebration, creating a joyful atmosphere across the school campus.

INNOVATIVE MODEL

 

Innovative Model Presentation – Pythagoras Theorem

On 11th September 2025, I introduced an innovative model based on the Pythagoras Theorem in class. The session aimed to provide students with a clear and practical understanding of the relationship between the sides of a right-angled triangle.

The model visually demonstrated how the sum of the squares of the two shorter sides equals the square of the hypotenuse, making the abstract concept easier for students to grasp. Through this hands-on approach, learners were able to observe and verify the theorem in a more interactive and engaging manner.

Students showed great curiosity and enthusiasm during the demonstration. They actively participated by making their own observations, asking questions, and discussing the practical applications of the theorem in real-life situations.

The activity not only strengthened their conceptual understanding but also encouraged creative thinking and active learning. Overall, the innovative model proved to be an effective teaching aid in simplifying mathematical concepts and promoting experiential learning in the classroom.

Onam Celebration at Our College

The Onam celebrations at our college commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a vibrant procession that began from the college junction and made its way to the campus, accompanied by the traditional Mahabali and the rhythmic beats of the Chenda Melam. The colorful procession set a joyful tone for the day’s festivities.

Upon reaching the college, the students presented a graceful Thiruvathira performance, followed by an energetic flash mob that filled the entire campus with enthusiasm and cheer.

The inaugural ceremony began with a heartfelt address by our Principal, who spoke about the essence of Onam and its message of unity, love, and togetherness. This was followed by an inspiring speech by our Manager, who highlighted the importance of preserving cultural traditions and fostering community spirit.

The celebrations continued with a series of dance and music performances by various departments, showcasing the diverse talents of students and the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. After the stage programmes, the event transitioned into a lively session of traditional games such as Kissera Kali, Kalamadi, Candy Race, Sundharik Pottuthodil, Biscuit Capture, and Tricky Eater. These activities created an atmosphere of joy, healthy competition, and teamwork among the students.

The highlight of the afternoon was the grand Onam Sadhya, where everyone gathered to enjoy Kerala’s traditional feast. Following the meal, the fun resumed with more games, culminating in the much-anticipated Vadamvali (Tug of War), which drew excited cheers from the crowd.

The celebration concluded with smiles, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness. The day beautifully reflected the spirit of Onam — a festival that celebrates unity, harmony, and cultural pride within our college community.

PROJECT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Today, our college hosted a project orientation program from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the college general hall. Dr. Lekshmi A, Associate Professor in General Education from N S S Training College, Pandalam, was the resource person for the event. Principal Benedict Sir warmly introduced and welcomed Dr. Lekshmi, who then proceeded to enlighten the participants about various research fields. With the support of faculty members Arun Sir, Riju Sir, and Swathi Miss, Dr. Lekshmi introduced minor projects, action research, and case studies, providing valuable insights into each area.

Fresher's Day

“പ്രകമ്പനം” was a vibrant and unforgettable Refreshers’ Day celebration, organized by us seniors under the banner of the Ektha College Union to warmly welcome our juniors. The entire day was filled with laughter, joy, and countless memorable moments that truly strengthened the bond between seniors and juniors.

The celebration began with a series of cultural performances that showcased the diverse talents of students from different departments. Our Mathematics Department added to the excitement with an energetic six-minute dance performance, which received an enthusiastic response from the audience. The juniors also impressed everyone with their creative and lively performances — their enthusiasm brought extra color and energy to the event. Among them, the boys’ dance stood out for its confidence and power, proving that their small number was no barrier to making a big impact.

To keep the lively spirit going, fun games were organized between stage performances, ensuring that everyone stayed engaged and entertained. By noon, a delicious lunch was served, giving us a perfect opportunity to relax, laugh, and share cheerful moments together. After the break, the much-awaited treasure hunt took place, adding an element of thrill and adventure to the day. The Malayalam Department proudly claimed the winners’ title in this exciting competition.

As the day came to a close, the celebration reached its peak with a lively DJ party. The lights dimmed, the beats took over, and soon the entire crowd was on the dance floor — dancing freely, celebrating togetherness, and creating memories to cherish forever.In essence, “പ്രകമ്പനം” was more than just an event; it was a celebration of unity, joy, and friendship — a true reflection of the vibrant spirit of our college community.
