 Christmas Program: Jingle Mingle Celebration



Christmas brought joy and excitement to our BEd college as both students and teachers came together to celebrate the festive season. The event, held on this special day, was a delightful blend of joy, laughter, and togetherness. The celebration began with an inspiring Christmas message from Fr. Philip, setting a thoughtful and reflective tone for the gathering. The program was further enriched by the presence of Fr. Jacob, Principal Riju John, and Program Secretary Sheeja Miss, whose contributions added warmth and significance to the occasion.

The celebration featured vibrant performances by students, including carols and songs that filled the air with festive cheer. The highlight of the day was the arrival of Santa Claus, who brought sweets and an abundance of laughter to everyone. A department-wise crib-making competition added another layer of excitement and color to the event, showcasing creativity and teamwork. The day was filled with cherished moments and laughter, bringing everyone closer and spreading joy and hope for the year ahead. It was truly a memorable occasion, creating lasting memories for all.

 Raising Awareness: 'Adhyavi' Program on Violence Against Women


On November 25th, 2024, which marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we, the first-year B.Ed. students, participated in a meaningful event organized by the Women’s Cell of Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College. The event, titled 'Adhyavi', brought together all first-year students and staff members to raise awareness about this important cause.

The program began with an insightful awareness session by Mrs. Neethu Raj, a student from the Malayalam Department, who highlighted the significance of this day and the increasing need to address the issue of violence against women. Following this, a documentary created by the first-year students from all optional subjects was showcased at the General Hall. To further engage participants, a collage competition was held on the theme "VICTIM to VICTORY", encouraging students to reflect on the strength and resilience of women overcoming violence. The event proved to be an important initiative, reminding everyone of the need for continued efforts to eliminate violence against women.

Film Fest

 

Cinema Paradise: A Celebration of Film and Dreams




The inauguration of the Film Club and Film Festival was held today at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara. The ceremony, which began at 10:00 AM, was conducted by Mr. Arun. During the event, the Film Club was officially named Cinema Paradise. Following the inauguration, two films, Adi Kappyare Koottamani and Chathikatha Chandhu, were screened for the audience. The festival concluded at 3:30 PM, marking the end of a successful and engaging day.

WORKSHOP OF SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCT


Creating Change: A Practical Approach to Socially Useful Productive Work  




As part of the B.Ed curriculum, a workshop on Socially Useful Productive Work (EDU 103.1) was organized today at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara. The session was led by Mr. Mohanlal, a retired school teacher and the resource person for the day. The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a presidential address delivered by our principal, Mr. Riju John.

The workshop began with an insightful introduction by Mr. Mohanlal, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. This was followed by a hands-on session on craft-making, where participants created various handmade items, including bags, lotions, soaps, and files. These activities offered a practical understanding of sustainable practices and their role in environmental preservation. The session successfully concluded at 3:30 PM.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

 Transformative Leadership: Building Skills for Effective Leadership


As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, a workshop for EDU01 was conducted on 16th November 2024 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The resource person, Mr. R. Kiran Bodhi, led the session, which began at 9:30 AM and concluded at 4:00 PM.







During the morning session, he delivered a class on leadership, using an engaging PowerPoint presentation. This was followed by interactive games that kept participants active and engaged throughout. Each game highlighted essential qualities that are vital for us to embody as teacher trainees.




In the afternoon session, each team was tasked with presenting a skit on different topics. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and excitement, making it a memorable and enriching experience for all.

PHYSICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION

 A Celebratory and Energetic Association Day: TACHYON Unveiled


The Physical Science Department Association Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 12th November 2024 at 2:00 PM in the General Hall. The event began with an invocation prayer, followed by a warm welcome speech from Jeeja, a student. Dr. Shamna Rani, the event chair and faculty member, emphasized the importance of collaboration and creativity in education. The principal, Riju John, unveiled the department’s association logo and name, "TACHYON," symbolizing speed, energy, and dynamism.


The celebration included vibrant cultural performances, with students showcasing their talents through dance and music, creating a lively atmosphere. Engaging games encouraged active participation, fostering teamwork among students and faculty. The highlight of the day was a thrilling treasure hunt, where the Mathematics Department emerged victorious. The event, filled with fun, creativity, and camaraderie, left everyone with lasting memories and a renewed enthusiasm for departmental activities.
