FAREWELL 2025

 "Al-Vida 2025 – A day to remember."

On April 7, 2025, Baselios Marthoma Mathew II Training College in Kottarakkara bid a warm and emotional farewell to its outgoing batch through a vibrant celebration titled ‘Al-Vida’, hosted by the College Union ‘Ektha’. The seminar hall buzzed with joy and nostalgia from 10 a.m. onward, as the seniors were welcomed with open arms and heartfelt smiles. A touching photo montage walked everyone down memory lane, stirring emotions and laughter alike. Students from across departments lit up the stage with energetic performances—music, dance, and interactive games—while Jesna and Fr. Sabu kept the audience engaged with their lively emceeing.

A special moment was reserved to honor the beloved teaching staff, where heartfelt memories were shared, and Praveena Miss moved the crowd with her touching speech. The event also took time to celebrate two significant personal milestones—congratulating a faculty member expecting a baby and another soon to be married. The celebration ended on a high note with a thrilling treasure hunt, followed by a delicious lunch that brought everyone together in warmth and camaraderie. The day concluded around 2 p.m., leaving behind smiles, hugs, and memories to last a lifetime.

Demonstration Models

Bringing Theory to Life: B.Ed Demonstration Class

On April 3, 2025, as part of the B.Ed curriculum, a demonstration class was held at 10:00 AM, offering valuable insights into practical teaching methods. The session was led by our seniors, Devika Murali and Lijin, each delivering a 40-minute lesson that effectively bridged theory with classroom practice.

Devika presented the chapter “Area of Quadrilaterals” using the Information Processing (ITM) model, showcasing structured and effective instruction. Lijin took a more exploratory approach, using the Constructivist model to teach “Construction of Quadrilaterals”, encouraging active learning and student participation. His method highlighted the power of student-centered classrooms in promoting critical thinking and inquiry.

The demonstration gave us a deeper understanding of how different teaching models work in real classroom settings. It was a meaningful experience that helped us better connect educational theory with hands-on teaching.
