 Rhythms of Learning

The Workshop on Music Composition proved to be a resounding success. It was held at the College General Hall on October 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM, organized by Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara. The resource person for the session was Mr. Anayadi Rakesh, a renowned music teacher from Shanthinikethanam Model Higher Secondary School, Shooranad. The workshop began with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Sreelekshmi, which set the tone for an engaging and inspiring day.

The workshop was conducted in two sessions. The morning session focused on the fundamentals of music composition, where participants explored various elements and techniques of creating music. In the afternoon session, the participants were divided into groups of five or six, with each department forming its own teams. Our department had three groups, and I was part of the second group along with Aparna, Athira, Jesna, and Joel. Each group was assigned the task of writing and composing a song related to their subject area. Our group composed a creative song about equal triangles, and all the groups presented their compositions in the afternoon.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by one of the teacher trainees, marking a perfect end to a day filled with creativity, learning, and musical inspiration.
