 Workshop on Preparation of E-Content and Digital Text

A Workshop on the Preparation of E-Content and Digital Text was conducted on November 31, 2025, at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara. The session was led by Mr. Harilal, an expert in educational technology and digital resource development. The workshop commenced at 10:00 a.m. and continued till 1:00 p.m., offering valuable insights into the creation and effective utilization of digital learning materials.

During the session, Mr. Harilal introduced the participants to various digital tools and software used in developing e-content. The workshop was highly interactive and hands-on, providing teacher trainees the opportunity to explore, design, and create their own sample digital learning materials. The session proved to be both informative and inspiring, enhancing the participants’ understanding of integrating technology into the teaching-learning process.

MUSIC COMPOSITION

 Rhythms of Learning

The Workshop on Music Composition proved to be a resounding success. It was held at the College General Hall on October 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM, organized by Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara. The resource person for the session was Mr. Anayadi Rakesh, a renowned music teacher from Shanthinikethanam Model Higher Secondary School, Shooranad. The workshop began with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Sreelekshmi, which set the tone for an engaging and inspiring day.

The workshop was conducted in two sessions. The morning session focused on the fundamentals of music composition, where participants explored various elements and techniques of creating music. In the afternoon session, the participants were divided into groups of five or six, with each department forming its own teams. Our department had three groups, and I was part of the second group along with Aparna, Athira, Jesna, and Joel. Each group was assigned the task of writing and composing a song related to their subject area. Our group composed a creative song about equal triangles, and all the groups presented their compositions in the afternoon.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by one of the teacher trainees, marking a perfect end to a day filled with creativity, learning, and musical inspiration.

Day 5

Valedictory Function

Lokahi Community Living Camp

The final day (25/10/25) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp marked the grand conclusion of five memorable days filled with learning, cooperation, and togetherness. The valedictory function began at 10:00 a.m., signifying the successful completion of the camp.

The event was hosted by Sheba Susan Philip and Nayana, who carried out the proceedings with grace and enthusiasm. The function began with a welcome address by Kumari Sreelakshmi, the camp teacher coordinator, who warmly greeted all dignitaries and participants.

The session was presided over by the College Principal, Mr. Riju John, and the official inauguration of the valedictory ceremony was performed by former Minister for Agriculture, Shri. Mullakkara Ratnakaran. His inspiring words motivated the teacher trainees to uphold unity, social responsibility, and environmental consciousness in their professional and personal lives.

Following this, Mr. Jeevan presented the camp report, summarizing the activities, experiences, and outcomes of the five-day camp. The report highlighted the theme “Harmony in Diversity” and the meaningful impact the camp had on teacher trainees through various sessions, cultural programs, and community interactions.

The most awaited moment of the event was the ‘Best Camper’ award ceremony, where Arunima (Natural Science) and Albin K. Alexander (Mathematics) were honored for their active participation, teamwork, and leadership throughout the camp.

In addition, the camp coordinators, Kumari Jisa and Mr. Jeevan, and Mr. Albin, who gave the name “LOKAHI” to the camp, were felicitated for their valuable contributions. The leaders of various camp groups were also recognized and appreciated for their commitment and coordination in making the camp a grand success.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fr. Sabu, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all teachers, students, guests, and organizing members for their cooperation, enthusiasm, and dedication.

Thus, the Lokahi Community Living Camp 2025 came to a graceful end, leaving behind lasting memories of unity, learning, and joyful togetherness that will continue to inspire the participants in their journey as future educators.

 Day 4

Lokahi Community Living Camp

The fourth day (24/10/25) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp was dedicated to a recreational and educational tour, which turned out to be a delightful blend of fun, exploration, and learning. The day was filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable experiences as participants explored the beauty of nature and enjoyed moments of togetherness.

As part of the journey, the teacher trainees and faculty members visited several picturesque destinations — the Pine Forest, Thangalpara, Tea Lake, and Parunthumpara — each offering breathtaking natural scenery and tranquil surroundings. The lush greenery, mist-covered hills, and refreshing climate of these places created a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and reflection.

Throughout the journey, students actively participated with enthusiasm and joy. Songs, group games, and lively conversations made the travel hours cheerful and memorable. The tour not only provided a refreshing break from routine academic activities but also fostered team spirit, unity, and friendship among the participants.

The entire trip was meticulously organized by the tour committee, ensuring safety, comfort, and enjoyment at every stage. The seamless coordination reflected the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved.

A total of 107 students and 5 teachers participated in this educational tour. The day served as a living example of how education and recreation can go hand in hand, promoting emotional well-being and interpersonal bonding among future educators.

Special appreciation and heartfelt gratitude were extended to Rev. Father Sabu, who served as the tour coordinator and guided the entire team with care, affection, and responsibility. His efforts ensured that the day became a cherished and meaningful experience for all.

The fourth day of the camp thus ended on a note of joy, gratitude, and togetherness — leaving behind memories that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Day 3
Lokahi Community Living Camp

The third day (23/10/25) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp began at 9:00 a.m. with the morning assembly. The assembly was hosted by Jesna and Vaishnavi, and the prayer was led by Muhsina, Anushree, Riya, and Jinshi. The thought for the day was presented by Amitha, and the news reading was done by Akhila and Jaimy. The day’s theme was introduced by Mrs. Neethu, and Kumari Arunima Rachel shared the day’s highlights.

At 10:00 a.m., the special session “Manomukham” was held, featuring Mr. Shivaprakash, a renowned mentalist and mind reader, as the guest of honor.

At 12:00 noon, an energetic Zumba dance performance titled “Dhamakka” was presented by HLS Studio, Kollam – Harry & Team. The Zumba session was filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and lively participation.

After lunch, at 2:00 p.m., the group departed for Kuttikkanam, Idukki. By 6:00 p.m., they visited Panchalimedu, a scenic and serene destination.

Later, at 8:30 p.m., the day concluded with a campfire, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere amidst the misty hills. Accommodation for the participants was arranged at the Providence Peermade Ashram and Convent, where they spent the night.

COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 2

 Day 2

Theme: Harmony in Diversity

On the second day (22/10/25) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp, the day began at 9:00 a.m. with the morning assembly. The assembly was hosted by Anu J Sajeev, and the prayer song was presented by Megha, Vaishnavi, and Rajalakshmi. The thought for the day was shared by Kumari Varsha, while Sheba and Alfiya presented the news. The day’s theme, “Harmony in Diversity,” was introduced by Shamna.

At 10:00 a.m., the session Swaralaya commenced. The discussion was centered on “The Significance and Importance of Musical Intelligence in Teacher Training.” The session was graced by Dr. Manakkal Gopalakrishnan (Former Research Officer, SCERT Kerala), Mavelikkara Vijayakrishnan (Violinist), and Srirangam Krishnakumar (Mridangam Artist), who filled the gathering with melodious performances. Shaheena, Anagha, and Akshara offered felicitations, and Rose delivered the vote of thanks.

After the short break, at 11:45 a.m., the program Agniratham was conducted. Mr. Aneesh from the Kottarakkara Fire and Rescue Station led a session on the topic “On the Path of Safety.” Kumari Jija delivered the vote of thanks.

Post-lunch, various group cultural programs were held. At 2:45 p.m., Mr. Ayyappadas, journalist from Malayala Manorama, led an interactive session on “Media Vibrations.” The program was organized by Mrs. Neethu S. Raj from the Malayalam Department. The session was highly informative and helped teacher trainees gain valuable insights into the world of media. Sheba Susan Philip delivered the vote of thanks for the session.

Later, at 5:30 p.m., the drama “ALPHII (12) MISSING” was staged by the teams from Rangaprabhat, Alanthara, and Vembayam as part of the Rangotsavam event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Kumari Shalini.

The day concluded at 7:30 p.m. with a spectacular musical performance by Beats Audios, marking a grand end to the second day of the camp.

COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 1

Day 1
Lokahi Community Living Camp

The first day (21/10/25) of the Lokahi Community Living Camp began at 8:30 a.m. with the registration of participants. At 9:30 a.m., the college principal Mr. Riju John hoisted the camp flag.

The inaugural ceremony commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome address by Mrs. Smitha, followed by presidential address by Principal Mr. Riju John. The five-day camp was officially inaugurated by the renowned poet and writer, Mr. Kureepuzha Sreekumar. The college manager Very Rev. Zacharia Ramban delivered a keynote address. Father Simon Lukose (College Administrator), Mrs. Jaisy John (Ward Councillor), Rev. Fr. Thomson Grace, Mrs. Sheeja Chacko (Staff Secretary), and Dr. Biju G. (Assistant Professor) conveyed their felicitations. The student coordinator, Jisa C.S., delivered the vote of thanks.

                                                

After the tea break, at 11:30 a.m., the theme presentation session began. Kumari Roshma Pappachan delivered the welcome address. The session was led by Dr. Noufal N., Assistant Professor at Sree Narayana Guru Open University, who spoke on the topic of “Unity.” He emphasized that every human being is unique, and true humanity and harmony emerge only when we understand and accept these differences. Mrs. Adila proposed the vote of thanks.

                                         

                                               

At 12:45 p.m., various group cultural performances took place, which concluded by 1:30 p.m., followed by lunch distribution.

In the afternoon, Mr. Ranjith T., HR Trainer from the Alappuzha Collectorate, conducted an inspirational session titled “A Direction for Dreams.” The class included motivational activities and an interactive game session for teacher trainees. The session was evaluated by Kumari Devi, Fr. Terry Thankachan, and Mrs. Neethu. Kumari Aathira delivered the vote of thanks, and the session concluded at 3:30 p.m.

After the tea break, a fun and thought-provoking session titled “Laughter and Reflection” was presented by Mr. Vineeth Elamadu, a mimicry artist and Flowers TV Comedy Utsavam fame personality. He shared valuable insights on life, emphasizing that what matters is not how long we live, but the meaningful impact we leave behind. He entertained the audience with engaging games, interactions, and brilliant impersonations of famous personalities such as Oommen Chandy, Santosh George Kulangara, Basil Joseph, and Sanju Samson, leaving everyone amazed. Kumari Muhsina delivered the vote of thanks, marking the end of the session at 5:00 p.m.
