Community Service - Day 4

 On March 17, 2025, we arrived at Ashraya Sanketham, Kalayapuram, at 9:45 AM for the fourth day of our community service program. We were joined by our teachers, Ms. Vismaya Thomas and Dr. Praveena, whose presence inspired us to carry out the day’s tasks with dedication. The day began with an instruction to divide into two groups—one assigned to the second floor and the other to the first floor of the female ward—for bed-making. This activity taught us the value of teamwork and the importance of creating a clean and comfortable environment for the residents.

After completing the morning duties, we began preparations for the cultural program. The event started at 12:00 PM with a welcome speech by Mr. Kurien, followed by a variety of student performances that added color and joy to the atmosphere. In between, Mr. Kalayapuram Jose delivered an inspiring speech that lifted everyone’s spirits. I was part of a group song performance with my peers, which was warmly received by the audience. The program wrapped up around 1:30 PM, leaving both performers and residents cheerful and energized.

Post-program, we enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring chicken curry, which gave us time to relax and bond over the day's experiences. In the afternoon, we shifted our focus to preparing for the next day’s debate. Discussing the topics and sharing perspectives helped boost our confidence and communication skills. At 3:30 PM, we concluded the day with snacks and heartfelt reflections, returning home with a deep sense of accomplishment and gratitude.
